Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities, providing support and implementing behavior intervention plans. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and documentation, as well as experience in special education or related fields.

Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a licensed professional.
  • Provide direct support to clients in various settings, including home, school, and community environments.
  • Monitor and document client progress, behaviors, and any changes in condition accurately in medical records.
  • Conduct patient assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Collaborate with families and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients, promoting their independence and skill development.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills related to working with individuals with disabilities.

Requirements

  • Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation practices is essential.
  • Previous experience in special education or related fields is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
  • Ability to perform patient assessments and adapt interventions based on individual needs.
  • A compassionate approach towards working with children and adults facing challenges related to disabilities.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating initiative in individual tasks.
