- Provide psychiatric assessment and medication management to students - Provide initial intake evaluations and follow-up for students referred to psychiatry. Formulation of appropriate ICD diagnosis, treatment plan, and disposition. Provide medication consultation and intervention as needed.
- Provide consultation to CAPS staff, campus SHS providers, CSU faculty/ staff, as well as the public, both in-person and on the telephone.
- Provide psychiatric consultation for the wide campus community.
- Equivalent to graduation from a medical school recognized by the Medical Board of California and completion of one or more residency programs in a specialty appropriate to the assigned duties with increasingly responsible experience in the practice of that specialty.
- Valid and relevant State of California license to practice medicine; current medical board certification appropriate for the assigned duties; valid DEA certificate and number for prescribing controlled substances; and current CPR/AED certification required.
- Current and valid Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry before commencement of the position.
- CA Driver's License preferred.
- Light work - Job involves some lifting of medium weight objects (10-20 pounds) and/or 10% - 20% of the job involves standing or walking.
