About Job

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) who is looking to move into a BCBA role to join our team. The RBT will split their time between providing 1:1 direct ABA therapy to children diagnosed with autism and training under a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to obtain their unrestricted supervision hours.

About Us
At Foundation ABA, we’re committed to creating supportive, individualized learning environments for children with autism and other developmental differences. Located in the heart of Avon, Indiana, our clinic-based and community-integrated services are rooted in evidence-based practices. As a valued member of our team, you'll help children gain critical skills while growing your own expertise under the guidance of experienced clinicians. We are small, privately owned and operated clinic that provides the personal touch to patients, families, and employees that the bigger ABA corporations lack.

*Candidates MUST have 1-year experience as an RBT and be enrolled in their graduate program.

Client Support:

  • Implement individualized ABA therapy programs approved by a supervising BCBA.
  • Analyze the collected and recorded client behavior and skill acquisition data.
  • Monitor client progress and provide feedback for program adjustments.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining instructional materials, including those based on ABLLS and VBMAPP.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices to support skill development and behavior reduction strategies.
  • Cover therapy in the event that staff call out.

Program Development and Support:

  • Collaborate with the supervising BCBA to develop treatment plans and interventions.
  • Participate in assessments under BCBA supervision.
  • Contribute to the design of group activities, outings, and other therapeutic opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with all ethical guidelines and standards established by the BACB.

Professional Development:

  • Actively seek feedback and incorporate it into practice to enhance clinical skills.
  • Complete required hours for BCBA fieldwork under the supervision of a qualified BCBA.
  • Stay current with ABA research and best practices to enhance therapeutic effectiveness.

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including session notes and progress reports.
  • Organize and track client data for analysis and reporting purposes.

Providing Feedback and Consultations:

  • Interact with RBTs during consultation sessions to ensure proper implementation of behavior intervention plans and therapy programs.
  • Observe therapy sessions and provide immediate, actionable feedback to RBTs on strategies, techniques, and client interactions.
  • Coach RBTs on effective implementation of programs, ensuring adherence to treatment protocols and data collection accuracy.
  • Offer guidance on improving therapeutic techniques, enhancing session structure, and managing challenging behaviors.
  • Conduct debriefing sessions with RBTs to discuss what went well, areas for improvement, and strategies for future sessions.
  • Communicate and explain any modifications to the behavior intervention plan or treatment goals, ensuring RBTs understand the rationale and steps for implementation.
  • Support RBTs in troubleshooting session challenges, including motivational strategies, reinforcement schedules, and behavior management techniques.
  • Forest a collaborative and supportive environment by recognizing RBTs’ strengths and providing constructive, solution-focused feedback to enhance therapy quality.
  • Facilitate training opportunities for RBTs to improve their skills and knowledge in line with the best practices in ABA.

Join us in making a positive impact in the lives of children and their families through dedicated behavioral support!
