The Department of Social Work at Western Carolina University is looking for qualified part-time (adjunct) faculty to teach selected courses or supervise social work student field placements. These appointments are on a course-by-course basis. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
This posting is continuous in order to develop a qualified pool of interested candidates. If your academic area of interest/expertise meets the programmatic needs of the WCU Social Work Department, you may be contacted to discuss proposed teaching opportunities. These needs change from semester to semester.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in Social Work with some practice experience. Candidates who teach in the substance abuse certificate program must be certified as a substance abuse counselor (CSAC) or hold licensure as a clinical addictions specialist (LCAS).
Preferred Qualifications
Master of Social Work with teaching experience.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required for this Position

Transcripts should be provided for the highest earned degree and/or the degree which is being used to satisfy credential/qualification requirements.
