Job Description
We are hiring a full-time School Psychologist to support students in the DeKalb, Illinois area for the 20252026 academic year. This is a school-based position primarily serving middle school students, with the flexibility to consider hybrid work models (e.g., 3 days onsite / 2 virtual or 4 onsite / 1 virtual).
The psychologist will provide specialized support in the areas of academic assessment, behavioral consultation, and student well-being, with a focus on collaborating with school teams to foster student success. This role is dedicated to evaluations and consultative servicesno LEA responsibilities or IEP facilitation required.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational assessments
Analyze data to assist in determining special education eligibility
Provide recommendations and strategies to support student academic and behavioral needs
Serve as a consultant to problem-solving and intervention teams
Support school teams with response-to-intervention efforts and behavioral planning
Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state guidelines
Preferred Qualifications:
Valid Illinois PEL with a School Psychologist endorsement
Strong assessment, analysis, and collaboration skills
Experience working with K8 or middle school-aged students preferred
Effective communicator with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams
Open to partial remote/hybrid schedules if needed
