A Behavior Coach—also known as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Behavior Technician (BT)—is a trained professional who works 1-on-1 with children diagnosed with autism to help them build essential life skills, improve communication, and reduce challenging behaviors. Behavior Coaches follow personalized treatment plans created by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to create lasting, meaningful change in a child’s life. It’s a hands-on, high-impact role that lets you make a real difference every day!

Schedule: Flexible — part-time opportunities available (10–20 hours/week)

Shift Availability:

  • Morning/Midday: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
  • Afternoon/Evening: 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM
  • Some weekend availability is a plus

Location: Client-based positions across all of Los Angeles and Orange County, CA!
Pay: $21–$24/hour (based on experience and credentials)
Bonuses: Up to $1,200/year in performance-based monthly incentives

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver 1-on-1 ABA therapy sessions in home, school, or center-based settings
  • Implement treatment plans designed by your supervising BCBA
  • Adapt interventions based on client needs and progress
  • Accurately collect and record session data using a provided tablet
  • Communicate effectively with families, supervisors, and team members
  • Travel to client locations within LA and Orange County
  • Maintain professionalism, compassion, and reliability at all times

What You’ll Need:

  • Prior experience in ABA therapy or relatable field (preferred)
  • Experience in childcare, psychology, special education is also valuable but not required.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
  • High school diploma (required); degree in psychology, education, or a related field is a plus
  • Passion for working with children and improving their lives
  • Comfort working across a variety of settings (home, clinic, school)
  • Availability for consistent scheduling and responsiveness to client needs
