Description
The purpose of the Pinoleville Pomo Nation Vocational Rehabilitation Program (PPNVRP) is to provide Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) services to American Indians with disabilities that are normally an underrepresented population.
We are seeking an on-site dedicated Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor with experience working in Native American communities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of vocational rehabilitation principles, cultural competency, and the ability to build meaningful relationships. The Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor will provide comprehensive support to individuals with disabilities, guiding them toward meaningful employment and self-sufficiency while honoring their diverse backgrounds and beliefs.

Pay: $28/hr., DOE
Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct assessments to evaluate consumers' abilities, interests, and employment potential.
- Develop individualized employment plans in collaboration with consumers, considering their unique needs.
- Provide counseling, support, and guidance to clients throughout their vocational journey.
- Coordinate with community resources, tribal organizations, and employers to create employment opportunities.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with federal, state, and tribal regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including tribal governments and community organizations.
- Knowledge of Tribal Governments and Federal Regulations.
