BlueRock Behavioral Health is seeking dedicated and compassionate Residential Counselors in Bat Cave, NC to provide direct support, supervision, and mentorship to youth (ages 12-17) in our therapeutic residential program. Who We’re Looking For:

A reliable, compassionate, and patient mentor who can provide structure, support, and positive guidance to adolescents. The ideal candidate is adaptable, solution-focused, and able to maintain a calm and professional demeanor in challenging situations.

Residential Counselor Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise & support residents, serving as a positive role model within the therapeutic residential setting
• Ensure a physically & emotionally safe environment for all youth in care
• Engage in daily programming, including academic, clinical, and experiential therapy activities
• Follow structured schedules & program guidelines to support youth development
• Report behaviors & progress to the clinical team, care coordinators, and guardians
• Drive company vehicles for resident transportation (if applicable)
• Uphold resident rights, safety, & program integrity

Residential Counselor Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Health or related field encouraged)
• 1+ years of experience working with youth/adolescents preferred
• At least 21 years of age
• CPR & First Aid certification (training provided)
• Valid driver’s license & clean driving record preferred
• Ability to maintain healthy professional boundaries and work effectively in a team-oriented environment
