Private Therapy Practice Seeking Licensed Associate Counselor
Seeking a motivated Licensed Associated Counselor interested in working in a private practice setting, with ability to make your own schedule, gain knowledge for building a private practice, AND obtain your required supervision hours towards obtaining your LPC. This is position is a 1099 contractor position with an established and successful private practice located in Central Phoenix! We are only able to hire an LAC at this time (Please, no LMSWs or LAMFTs). Seeking a therapist who is open to working with adults, children/adolescents, families, and couples.

- Obtain direct contact hours, as well as required clinical supervision hours needed for AZBBHE licensure
- Learn how to build & run a private practice
- Regular pay schedule- no waiting for payments, therapists are paid regularly every two weeks
- Competitive pay based on number of client sessions conducted per week
- Use of a furnished office, lobby, kitchen, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain the strictest confidentiality of clients and their care
- Complete all related documentation as required by AZBBHE rules
- Practice effective counseling methods
- Determine appropriate therapeutic interventions
- Maintain updated treatment plans
- Responsible for case management for all assigned clients
- Seek supervision/consultation as appropriate
- Attend clinical oversight/peer consultation as scheduled
Requirements & Qualifications:
- MUST Hold an active Licensed Associate Counselor license in AZ, in good standing. *Please, no applicants who are still in school or unlicensed
- Committed to seeing a minimum of 20 clients per week
- Obtain and maintain appropriate liability insurance (Practice is willing to help explore options, as needed)
- Obtain and maintain active Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Completion of an accredited Master’s degree program in psychology, counseling, or a related field
- Previous experience (either practicum/internship or employment) in a mental health counseling setting
- Willingness to stay updated on new treatments, protocols, and licensure requirements
- Great communication skills
- Solid relationship building capabilities
- Positive and compassionate attitude
- Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize needs and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proactive in facilitating coordination of care
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $57.00 - $70.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
