Georgia Families in Transition is looking for individuals to join our community-based mental health team!
The Therapist position is focused on providing individual/family mental health counseling using evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches of care for children, adolescents, and adults in the DeKalb County area. Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Providing individual/family mental health counseling using evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches of care.
- Timely documentation submission
- Commitment to providing consistent, ongoing services to clients
- Provide crisis intervention as necessary to enhance and restore functioning
- Participate in coordination of care with a multi-disciplinary treatment team
- Meet or exceed agency required productivity and documentation standards
- Some travel may be needed within DeKalb County to see clients in person
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements
- Fully licensed LPC, LMSW, or LMFT required
- Minimum of a Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related human services discipline
- Therapists will primarily work with EAP clients, and must be prepared to provide data for their CAQH profiles
- Must be able to pass DBHDD background check (required prior to providing any services to clients)
- Completion of state-mandated training within the first 30 days of hire: CPR/First Aid, CPI, CSSRS, Relias
- Knowledge of Medicaid/CMO compliance requirements preferred
- Demonstrable knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria
- Willingness to learn new documentation and clinical skills
- Receptivity to feedback and constructive criticism
- Prompt communication, collaborative personality, and passion for mental health and human services
Additional Information
- Job Type: Full-time contractual position
- Pay rate: $50 per service hour
- Location Requirement: Must reside in or have reliable transportation to provide in-person services within DeKalb County, GA
- Schedule Requirements: Must be flexible to work afterschool hours and weekends in order to accommodate the needs of the clients served.
