Job Description

Maintain offender caseloads and records (ICON) as outlined in IMCC/DOC policy.

Participate in the Classification and Reentry Process to include, but is not limited to: face-to-face interview of offender; document behavior and collateral contacts; Complete accurate and timely custody classification, IVVI Risk and SVP assessments, SOR/SOCC reviews, generic notes, transfer instances; communicate housing criteria and keep separate concerns; work with offender to complete release planning, to include planned release address w/county and resident/relationship.

Utilize effective Communication in all aspects of work, to include but not limited to: respond to offender requests/kiosks, provide crisis intervention and problem-solving with offenders; make necessary offender referrals to the appropriate professionals related to trauma and abuse, and/or any additional services as needed; complete correspondence/required reports (Reception and Progress Reports) and address questions/concerns of stakeholders and family members; be a positive and productive member of the Treatment Team and attend meetings as required; assure safety and security are maintained through communication with staff on all relevant offender information obtained.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

Experience equal to four years of full-time work providing individual and group guidance and related counseling services in the areas of social, behavioral, educational, vocational and related program planning;

OR

an equivalent combination of experience and education substituting thirty semester hours (or the equivalent) of post high school coursework for each year of the required work experience to a maximum substitution of four years.
