FCA is seeking a Residential Counselor to work in our Community Residence for adults who suffer from persistent mental illness. The residential program assists residents in learning skills for more independent living.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and funding requirements, including security checks and fire drills.
- Provide counseling and supervision to residents, assisting in developing and implementing their service plans.
- Develop and supervise recreational programs.
- Supervise residents' daily activities and responsibilities.
- Prepare meals for residents.
- Transport residents to appointments and recreational activities.
- Complete and submit case notes.
- Conduct cleaning and disinfecting of the household as per CDC guidelines.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills with MS Office
Additional Information:
- Salary: $19.23/hour
- Location: Elmont
- Schedule: Full Time, Monday-Friday
