Flourish Counseling is currently looking for a licensed clinician to join our small group practice in our Mooresville office. We are seeking an experienced, communicative, and compassionate therapist to join our team and support the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of our clients. In this role, you will work directly with clients to actively listen to problems and concerns and assist clients in developing healthy and productive ways of coping with those issues. This role requires someone who enjoys working closely with people—not just with clients, but also with other members of our team and occasionally outside agencies.
We engage primarily in psychotherapeutic services for children, families, couples and adults. The population we serve includes children, couples and adults struggling with mental health issues such as mood disorders, anxiety, personality disorders, developmental issues, trauma and relationship challenges. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will be primarily responsible for providing outpatient therapy to clients who request therapy with a wide range of issues. The administrative staff handles referring and scheduling your clients as well as billing. The practice takes most insurance plans.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct regular appointments with clients who wish to converse with a mental health professional
- Conduct sessions with clients and/or families or as outlined in a therapeutic treatment plan;
- Establish positive and trusting relationships with clients
- Diagnose client mental and emotional disorders
- Assisting clients through difficult life changes and challenges
- Educating the client on strategies and coping skills
- Accessing client needs, and developing strategies to help the client
- Implement various treatments and protocols to provide guidance and appropriately address client situations
- Continually assess client situations and provide the proper ongoing treatments
- Complete documentation on all client appointments and treatment efforts in a timely manner and in accordance with organization standards;
- Opportunity to develop groups that provide innovative services to the community;
- Stay up-to-date on treatment modalities and complete trainings as required by licensing and credentialing organizations by attending conferences, seminars and journal reading;
- Educate and involve family members or other loved ones in the treatment process when appropriate
- When required, refer clients to outside sources or agencies that can better address their specific needs
- Maintain the strictest confidentiality of each and every client situation
- Maintain all required licenses and the appropriate insurance
Therapist Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum of a Master’s degree Social work, Psychology, counseling, or a related field acceptable
- Full Clinical license in Social Work, LPC or LMFT
- Meet all necessary North Carolina license requirements
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to actively listen
- Solid relationship-building capabilities
- A positive and compassionate attitude
- Keen attention to detail
- Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize needs
- Willingness to stay updated on new treatments, protocols, and license requirements within the field
- Passion for advancing the therapy field
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Demonstrated experience working with clients from diverse cultures with sensitivity to cultural differences and norms;
- Demonstrated ability with providing excellent clinical, therapeutic, and crisis intervention skills;
- Capacity to engage, respect, and serve a wide range of clients with a nonjudgmental attitude, while empowering the clients served;
- Must have an ability to provide excellent and compassionate customer service;
- Ability to work independently and exercise a high level of confidentiality;

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
