About Job

· Perform overnight resident care assignments and assists clinical department with appropriate trauma informed evidence based therapeutic treatment service delivery.

· Maintain delivery of multidisciplinary treatment plan for children and youth.

Qualifications:

MUST HAVE Bachelors’ Degree (Working with children or youth preferred)

or 2 YEAR Full-Time experience with children or youth having mental health/behavioral issues.

· Pass a criminal background check, TB test, physical exam and drug testing.

· Valid CA Driver’s license and a clear DMV record.

Summary:

· Adhere to Elite Family Systems trauma informed, evidence based therapeutic treatment program.

· Assist in the implementation of individual treatment plans for children/youth, focusing on areas such as education, activities, social skills, anger management, therapeutic interaction and crisis intervention.

· Provide supervision, counseling and direct care for children/youth living in the residential treatment setting. Serving as a surrogate parent; to teach values, responsibility and life skills and problem solving skills.

· Ensuring the safety and security of the children/youth while also maintaining a therapeutic environment.

Essential Duties

· Direct supervision and monitoring through following the structure of the home and maintaining the client’s daily routines.

· Assists client in the development of independent living skills, such as management of money, care of clothing, personal hygiene, house hold chores, making and keeping appointments and job seeking.

· Coordinates with clients’ treatment team, service plans and utilizes treatment techniques and interventions to assist clients in achieving their goals.

· Encourages and uplifts clients towards success. When needed, manages the behavior of clients through the use of approved behavioral management techniques and interventions.

· Plans and implements the constructive use of leisure time through therapeutic activities. Fosters positive group experiences and helps in the development of sound social skills.

· Dispenses and records all prescribed medications in accordance to approved procedures. Assists in medical, dental and psychiatric appointments and needs.

· Keeps proper documentation and reports.

· Develops professional skills by attending all trainings, facility meetings and by being open to supervision.

· Assists in the cleanliness and maintenance of the facility, ground and vehicles.
