As a Music Therapist at Hopewell, you will play a vital role in our therapeutic community by using music as a tool to help residents manage their mental illness and enhance their emotional well-being. This position offers an opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of individuals while working in a unique and supportive environment.

This is a part-time as needed (PRN) position working 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized music therapy treatment plans for residents.
• Utilize music interventions to address emotional, cognitive, and social needs of individuals.
• Facilitate group music therapy sessions that promote engagement and social interaction.
• Assess residents' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and resident progress in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Music Therapy from an accredited program.
• Board Certification in Music Therapy (MT-BC) preferred.
• Member American Music Therapy Association (required)
• Experience working with individuals with mental illness or disabilities is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and practices.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Pass pre-employment background checks and drug test.
• Valid Driver License
