Northeast Psychological Wellness is seeking a New York State licensed mental health clinician (LCSW or LMHC) to provide teletherapy to adults and/or adolescents/children. There is also an opportunity to provide clinical supervision to pre-licensed clinicians and trainees, if interested. This could be either a full-time or part-time position with flexible scheduling options.
Employees work remotely from their own home/office. Ideal candidates will be those who are committed to providing excellent clinical services and are also aligned with the company’s vision of extending our reach to more individuals in need of mental health services. We are looking for dedicated clinicians who would like to join a private practice who enjoy being part of a collaborative and supportive clinical team where learning is highly valued and ongoing.
Northeast Psychological Wellness is a group practice located in New York. This organization strives to provide quality and compassionate mental health services to foster each client’s growth and well-being. Treatment is always tailored to meet the unique needs of all of our clients. Our specialized services aim to empower clients and equip them with the tools to effectively cope with their struggles and lead more fulfilling lives. We provide psychotherapy to a diverse client population. Our clinicians specialize in the treatment of a variety of mental disorders, such as depression, anxiety, relationship stressors, phobias, OCD, PTSD, loss and grief, eating disorders, ADHD, identity issues, and disruptive behavioral problems in young children. We provide individual, couples, family, and group therapy.
As much as we emphasize excellent client care, we also value our clinicians and provide a supportive and collaborative space for all of our providers. The clinical team consists of 20 therapists who meet weekly for virtual staff meetings to discuss cases and present educational topics. Attend once monthly consultation groups based on specific topics, such as eating disorders or OCD. The clinical team participates in virtual and in-person team-building activities and social events throughout the year.
We accept health insurance and help our clinicians get credentialed with various commercial insurance companies. This is a W2, as opposed to a 1099 position; therefore, you would be considered an employee, not an independent contractor. See below for our competitive compensation package.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide highly individualized and quality psychotherapy to adults and/or children using various modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, or dialectical behavior therapy
- Conduct intake evaluations with new clients
- Maintain accurate client records by completing succinct intake and progress notes using our easy-to-use EHR
- Attend weekly case consultation/staff meeting
- Facilitate presentations based on various mental health topics during staff meetings
- Provide clinical supervision to pre-licensed clinicians and trainees
- Contribute to psycho-educational articles on various mental health topics (optional)
- Facilitate group psychotherapy (optional)
- Provide couples and/or family therapy (optional)
Requirements:
- New York State license (LCSW, LMHC, PsyD, or PhD, )
- Expertise and experience in providing CBT, DBT, or psychodynamic therapy
- Adaptability
- Self-motivation and ability to work independently
- Strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills
