We are seeking an bilingual enthusiastic and experienced high school psychology teacher to join our dynamic faculty team. The ideal candidate should have a rich background in Psychology and AP Psychology. The candidate should demonstrate a commitment to fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment while promoting critical thinking, analytical skills, and effective communication among students.
Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver effective instruction: Plan, prepare, and teach engaging psychology lessons that align with curriculum standards and course objectives, promoting critical thinking and inquiry-based learning.
- Foster an inclusive learning environment: Create a supportive classroom culture that encourages active participation, collaboration, and respect for diverse perspectives.
- Differentiate instruction to meet student needs: Adapt teaching methods and materials to support a wide range of learners, including students with special needs and English language learners.
- Assess and support student progress: Utilize various formative and summative assessment strategies to evaluate student learning and provide timely, constructive feedback to support academic development.
- Maintain positive classroom management: Implement effective behavior management techniques to ensure a structured, respectful, and engaging learning environment that promotes student success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or a closely related field is required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of two years of recent high school teaching experience in psychology, with a demonstrated record of instructional effectiveness (preferred).
- Proficient in a variety of teaching methodologies, assessment strategies, and educational technologies that enhance student engagement and support academic success.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
- Strong commitment to creating an inclusive, equitable, and supportive learning environment that promotes the academic and personal growth of all students.
- Salary: Starting at $40/hourly. Depending on experience.
