Are you passionate about helping children thrive? At Special Needs Network, Inc. (SNN), we empower children with autism and other developmental disabilities—especially in underserved communities. Our mission connects disability rights to racial justice, and we’re looking for compassionate, dedicated individuals to join our team.

We are currently hiring in Inglewood, CA, and nearby areas within the Los Angeles region.

Applicants must be willing to drive within a 15-mile radius of their home zip code to provide in-home services.

What You’ll Do as a Behavior Technician

You’ll work one-on-one with children using play-based ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) therapy techniques to help them learn and grow. Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting social skills like sharing and cooperative play
  • Encouraging verbal and nonverbal communication through interactive activities
  • Teaching emotional regulation and coping strategies
  • Promoting positive behavior using reinforcement techniques
  • Guiding motor skill development through structured play
  • Enhancing problem-solving and thinking skills
  • Encouraging daily living skills such as self-care and following routines

No ABA experience required—you will receive extensive paid training during a required, in-person two-week program.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Available Monday through Friday (2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.) and possibly Saturdays (9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.)
  • Fully available for a 2-week paid training (Monday through Friday between 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.)
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, valid registration, and valid vehicle insurance
  • Comfortable using a personal device for data entry (stipend provided)
  • Experience with children is a plus (e.g., school, daycare, or after-school programs)
  • Background in Psychology, Child Development, or related fields is a plus
  • Physical ability to kneel, run, lift up to 35 lbs, and move quickly as needed
