Mental Health Therapist (LMFT/LPCC)

Location: Cincinnati, Ohio (Statewide opportunities available)
Employment Type: Full-Time and Part Time Available
Compensation Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour

Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and passionate Mental Health Therapist to provide essential therapeutic services to residents in skilled nursing facilities, long-term care facilities, and related settings. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the well-being of individuals who often face complex emotional, psychological, and cognitive challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions tailored to the unique needs of the residents.
- Perform diagnostic assessments, including Alzheimer's screening, cognitive assessments, and psychological evaluations.
- Develop and implement behavior management interventions and strategies for managing pain.
- Support residents in adjusting to facility life and addressing grief, loss, or other emotional challenges.
- Collaborate with facility staff, families, and other healthcare providers to coordinate care and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Provide training and education for facility staff on behavioral health strategies and care best practices.
- Maintain compliance with facility, state, and federal regulations, ensuring alternatives to psychotropic medications and restraints are prioritized.
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
- Active Ohio licensure as one of the following: LMFT/LPCC.
- Strong understanding of the mental health needs of elderly and subacute populations.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings.
- Knowledge of dementia care and behavior management techniques.
- Willingness to travel up to 45 minutes.
