About Job

Walnut Street Center is looking for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst(BCBA) to support adults with Intellectual Disabilities. Our BCBA will join a growing team at our Day Program in Bedford, MA.

Overview:

The BCBA will be the primary point person for all clinical services in our Day Program. They will creation and manage the implementation of treatment plans. Candidates should have previous, relevant ABA/PBS/BCBA/BCaBA experience. The ideal candidate will have experience working with the adult DD/ID population and be familiar with DDS regulations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop positive behavior support plans, conduct individual functional behavioral assessments, oversee the implementation of data collection, trend data, modify plans and oversees the use and documentation of restrictive procedures as needed.
  • Collaborate with the residential clinician and management team to ensure that there is consistent programming across multiple environments.
  • Deliver and coordinate clinical services to adults with IDD in a Day Program setting
  • Maintain regular communication with team members families, DDS and all stakeholders.
  • Train direct care and management staff to ensure consistent implementation of clinical plans. This may includes on-site staff training, orientation training, clinical and staff meetings.
  • Assist staff to gain proficiency in applied behavior analysis by satisfactorily answering questions in regard to the principles of behavior.
  • Attends quarterly Human Rights Committee meetings.

Requirements:

  • BCBA / BCaBA (or certificate eligible) required
  • Masters Degree required
  • At least 5 years' experience working with IDD preferred
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Covid-19 Vaccine Card
  • Ability to pass background checks
  • Familiarity with Department of Developmental Services (DDS) and MA Health policies
  • Familiarity with CARF and DDS Survey and Certification requirements
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
