Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality mental health care to patients, focusing on those with developmental disabilities and other psychiatric conditions. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering care through various modalities, including telehealth services.

Duties

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and preferences.
• Provide medication management and monitor patient responses to treatment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care for patients with developmental disabilities.
• Utilize telehealth platforms to provide remote consultations and follow-ups.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with standards.
• Perform sterile processing, specimen collection processing, and IV insertion as needed.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions and treatment options.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in psychiatric nursing.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health.
• Current certification as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Proficiency in telehealth technologies and practices is a plus.
• Knowledge of ophthalmology, catheter care, and home care practices is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in practice.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Per diem

Pay: $90.00 - $115.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 – 20 per week
