Program Overview:
We are a unique and mission-driven special education non-public high school/day treatment in Brooklyn, serving high-functioning students (ages 14–21) with autism and significant mental health diagnoses. Our fully integrated program is licensed by both the New York State Education Department (NYSED) and the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH), combining academics with clinical models.
Our mission is to provide a restorative, trauma-informed, and inclusive educational experience that promotes prosocial behavior, fosters emotional wellness, and prepares students for academic and vocational success.
Our multidisciplinary team includes psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, teaching staff, occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, art therapists, and a support team.
Position Summary:
The League School is seeking a dedicated and experienced Education Supervisor to join our High School interdisciplinary team. The Education Supervisor provides direct staff supervision, monitors and develops regents-level curriculum, oversees staff paperwork including transcripts, IEPs, and reports, and works with the multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support certified high school teaching staff across subject areas, including providing professional development, coaching, evaluation and documentation review.
- Collaborate with the clinical supervisor and multidisciplinary team to integrate mental health into daily curriculum.
- Promote engaging, innovative, and inclusive teaching methodologies to reach all students.
- Work with job development to ensure that students are engaged in meeting vocational credentialing.
- Ensure compliance with all documentation, ethical, and professional standards required by NYSED and Office of Mental Health.
- Work closely with Committees on Special Education (CSEs) for IEP development and review.
- Work with HR to ensure appropriate staffing, professional staff ethics and staff performance.

Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in education is required.
- School Administration and Supervision (SAS or SBL) Credentials preferred; candidates working toward certification may be considered, mentorship/supervision can be arranged.
- Minimum of 5 years of high school teaching experience, preferably in special education, mental health and behavioral challenges.
- Experience with Special Education programming, IEP implementation, and familiarity with CSE processes.
- Proven leadership and supervisory experience in an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed practices and interest in working closely with mental health professionals.
- Outstanding attention to detail, communication, flexibility, organizational, and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of Regents curriculum.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
