Job Overview: Part-Time Associate Clinician (AMFT, ASW, APCC, Student Intern)
Service Areas: Merced (Primary)
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate clinicians to join our team in a part-time capacity as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), Associate Social Worker (ASW), Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC), or Student Intern in Practicum. This role involves conducting social assessments for individuals ages 3 and older with suspected developmental or neurological conditions, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, and Fifth Category conditions.
As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will support clients and families in accessing services, navigating systems of care, and improving overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct and complete social assessments for individuals seeking eligibility for services.
- Collaborate with regional centers and interdisciplinary providers to support diagnostic clarity and service planning.
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation when necessary during assessments or follow-up interactions.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation in accordance with ethical and regulatory standards.
- Advocate for client needs by assisting with referrals, linkage to services, and community resource coordination.
- Participate in ongoing supervision and training to support professional growth and clinical development.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field from an accredited institution.
- Current BBS registration as an AMFT, ASW, or APCC (required).
- Experience or familiarity with developmental disabilities, behavioral health conditions, or community-based social services preferred.
- Strong skills in crisis intervention, rapport building, and culturally responsive care.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to accuracy and detail.
- Willingness to travel to service areas including Merced and possibly Madera County, Mariposa, and Oakhurst.
- Must be organized, self-directed, and committed to ethical, client-centered care.
Position Details:
- Part-time schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
- Caseload: Approximately 6–10 clients per week.
- Training and supervision provided.
