Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Educate the community about Bridges Hospices services and our differentiators.
• Maintaining positive relationships with existing referral sources in addition to new business within Allegheny County.
• Ability to communicate effectively with members of the hospice interdisciplinary team, LTC/SNF referral sources and community resources.
• Ability to work independently and part of a team in a fast pace, result oriented environment.
• Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of hospice eligibility criteria.
• Develop relationships with referral sources, physicians, and other health care professionals.
• Coordinate with the service office to set up the services ordered by the physician.
• Meet with prospective patients and families.
• Develop community outreach goals and monitor and evaluate referral outcomes for outreach effectiveness along with the management team.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 years of marketing/sales experience is in direct hospice sales is highly preferred
• Candidates will have a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or related field or minimum of 4 years of varied relevant work experience and/or RN license.
• Due to the amount of travel required all candidates must be a licensed driver and possess valid car insurance and reliable transportation.
• Applicants should demonstrate a proven ability to establish positive relationships with strong initiative and self-direction.
• Proficient in Microsoft office products.
• Excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Must have the ability to relate professionally and positively and work cooperatively with internal and external peers.

Physical Demands:
The position requires sitting, driving, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping, crouching, reaching, and climbing, use of telephone as well as computer throughout most of the day. The employee must have adequate (with correction) close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus. The employee must occasionally lift or move objects and patients weighing over 25 lbs or more.
