NYTPS is looking for Behavior Technicians to work 1:1 with children on the Autism Spectrum.
Immediate need:
Home case for 7-year-old child in Massapequa Long Island, NY.
Schedule: Mon-Fri 4:00pm-6:00pm and Saturdays, 12:00pm-2:00pm.
New York Therapy Placement Services Inc. is hiring ABA Therapists and Behavior Technicians to service pediatric clients on Long Island - Suffolk County. This position is per-diem with flexible schedules. This opportunity is excellent for someone who is looking to gain additional experience and really help make a difference. This position is also ideal for people who are working towards degrees in Special Education, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Social Work. We specialize in servicing individuals with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) across our programs. Each individual treatment plan is tailored to the client’s needs, developed and supervised by our team of Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA-D, BCBA, BCABA).
Duties Include:
- Work with children in their homes following treatment protocols and addressing established goals.
- Support children with autism in achieving their goals.
- Implement their individualized behavior goals and behavior intervention plans.
- Organize and update program book. Monitor and collect information about client’s behavior and skills using data collection.
- Complete log notes for each session. Must be able to access the internet daily to enter information with computers, laptops, tablets or phones.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree AND one year of supervised experience working with children ages 2-21 on the Autism Spectrum.
- Associate's degree considered if qualifying experience.
- Experience implementing ABA programs preferred.
- Registered Behavior Technician Certification preferred.
Position requirements:
- The ability to meet the physical demands of the job including frequent sitting on the floor, getting up from the floor, running with children, etc.
- Competent in behavior management, skill instruction, oral and written. Great communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be energetic, creative, intuitive, and have a passion for working with children and helping them achieve their goals and reach their fullest potential.
Pay range: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
