Job Description

The Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative, operational and programmatic support services to an assigned program area. The Program provides a specific service or carries out specific activities as a separate entity or as a component program within a department, but is not a department itself. A Program is ongoing, but may have a business cycle.

Responsibilities

• Assists in overseeing and managing the day to day operations of the residency program and recruitment process under the supervision of the Program Director.
• Assists Program Director in ensuring that staff works optimally and efficiently to meet standards for clinical excellence and productivity
• Responds to requests for information regarding the residency program.
• Serves as liaison between the department and GME.
• Coordinates all evaluations of staff in New Innovations with House Staff and Physicians.
• Assists with Accreditation process through ACGME and internal audits.
• Performs credentialing services for incoming staff and ongoing.
• Processes all applications and handles correspondence including distribution, organization and tracking of applications.
• Maintains all residency records both past and present in keeping with RRC standards.
• Coordinates residency recruitment and meetings.
• Serves as liaison between the Program Director and residents.
• Organizes and distributes the resident's rotation and education schedule, (i.e., courses, lectures, room assignments, etc.)
• Coordinates academic conferences and organizes disbursement of honorary fee.
• Screens incoming academic calls for Program Director.
• Completes payroll for all House and Fellowship staff (approximately sixty (60) staff)
• Serves as backup for completion of Departmental Payroll (approximately two hundred plus (200+) staff).
• Handles correspondence, presentations, residency letters, recommendations etc. on a timely basis without error and confidentiality maintained.
• Completes private practice billing including timely deposit of FPP transmittal sheets.
• May be required to perform other duties as assigned or perform other duties when necessary
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Minimum of 5 years’ experience in prior Program Coordinator role or similar

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $64,526.72 - $70,199.79 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
