Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with children and individuals requiring behavioral support, implementing therapeutic interventions under the guidance of licensed professionals. Your primary focus will be to promote positive behavioral changes and enhance the quality of life for those you serve.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans as directed by supervisors.
• Monitor and document patient progress, ensuring accurate medical documentation.
• Utilize medical terminology effectively in communication with team members.
• Provide patient care and support during therapy sessions.
• Conduct diagnostic evaluations to assess behavioral needs.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop effective treatment strategies.
• Engage in ongoing training and professional development related to behavioral health practices.

Experience

• A minimum of 6 months previous experience working with persons with developmental disabilities is a must.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and have already received 30 hours of competency-based training by a certified behavior analyst; OR an associate's degree
• Familiarity with behavioral therapy techniques is a must.
• Knowledge of medical records management and documentation practices.
• Understanding of behavioral health principles and interventions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• A background in medical terminology and documentation is advantageous.
