Position Title: Community Liaison

POSITION SUMMARY
Tarzana Treatment Centers, Inc. (TTC) is in search of a Community Liaison for the (Long Beach, San Fernando Valley, or Antelope Valley), surrounding locales, and parts of surrounding counties. The Community Liaison’s duties will be centered on outreach and marketing, with the aim of generating referrals to TTC and educating professionals and the community at large about TTC’s services for adults and adolescents struggling with substance use, co-occurring disorders, and primary care needs. Key responsibilities entail external sales, marketing, and the cultivation of referral sources targeting sectors such as Medical Groups, Independent Practice Associations, Hospitals, Private Physicians, Mental Health Professionals, Insurance companies, education institutions, and other pertinent markets as determined by TTC. Additionally, the role requires representing TTC at networking industry events, community gatherings, and conferences. As a primarily field-based role, it demands local travel within the assigned territory, excellent time management, organizational skills, preparedness, proficient communication, and the flexibility to adapt swiftly when needed.

HOURS
8 per Day / 5 Days per Week
CATEGORIES OF DUTIES
- Develop and maintain referral partnerships with physicians, hospitals, social workers, case managers, administrators, and community organizations within TTC’s target market.
- Maintain TTC's reputation by delivering the highest standard of professionalism and customer service in all interactions, within and outside of TTC.
- Collaborate with hospital staff to manage TTC referrals, provide education on admission criteria and accepted insurances, and address any barriers to patient care access.
- Collaborate with Supervisor in the planning of in-service sessions to highlight the advantages and services of TTC's programs, and to clarify the admission process.
- Serve as a TTC representative at networking and community events in the designated region.
- Track the referral process from initiation to conclusion and maintain communication with referral sources to ensure a seamless experience.
- Attend designated agency committee and supervisory meetings as required.
- Safeguard & inventory marketing materials including giveaway items, brochures, flyers, and other pertinent information. Receive orders, organize stock, and update the inventory spreadsheet as instructed by the supervisor.
- Develop a weekly calendar outlining planned activities that total 8 hours of work each day. These calendars should be finalized and submitted by the end of each work week for the following week.
- Keep daily reports and accurately document all referrals, activities, and contracts.
- Participate in meetings as instructed by the supervisor, aiding the Business Development Department and Sub Committees with tasks in sales, marketing, customer service, and other areas of business development.
- Document and update details of interactions related to marketing contacts daily.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
The minimum requirements for the position are BA/BS degree in Marketing or other healthcare related field, or high school graduate with at least 2 years healthcare or marketing experience. Experience in a psychiatric facility or facility with a substance use disorder (SUD)/mental health focus preferred. Experience with private insurance and managed behavioral healthcare companies. Previous filed based experience is a must. A self-starter with excellent time management, critical thinking, and great interpersonal skills. Must have a California driver’s license as travel is required. Must be able to multitask and be familiar with MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.
