Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Outpatient Therapist to join our team. This position involves providing therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families dealing with a variety of mental health challenges in an outpatient setting. The ideal candidate will be experienced, empathetic, and committed to promoting mental well-being through evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual, couple, fmaily therapy sessions for clients with mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and other behavioral health issues.
- Provide assessments and develop personalized treatment plans for clients based on their unique needs and goals.
- Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities (e.g., Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Therapy, etc.) to help clients cope with and overcome mental health challenges.
- Maintain detailed case notes and records of client progress in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical providers, to ensure a holistic approach to treatment.
- Ensure clients receive appropriate referrals for additional services when necessary.
- Uphold a high standard of ethical practice and confidentiality in all client interactions.
- Provide crisis intervention and support to clients in urgent need.
- Stay up-to-date on mental health trends and best practices through ongoing education and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
- Active and valid Washington State licensure, including associate licensed individuals (LICSW, LMFT, LMHC, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in outpatient therapy or a related mental health setting (can include practicum or internship hours)
- Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus.
- Compassionate, empathetic, and non-judgmental approach to therapy.
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively while maintaining quality care.
