Duties/Responsibilities: •
- Provide counseling for clients and patients, individually and in group sessions, to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, and making changes.
- . Maintains confidentiality of records relating to clients’ treatment.
- Counseling will consist of adolescents, married couples, individuals, and families
- Guides clients in the development of skills and strategies to deal with their problems.
- Encourages clients to express their feelings and to discuss what is happening in their lives and helps them develop insight into themselves and their relationships.
- Collects information about clients through interviews, observations, and tests. Prepares and maintains treatment records after each session via Therapy Notes in a timely manner.
- Evaluates clients’ physical or mental condition based on review of client information. Develops and implements treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge. Acts as a client advocate to coordinate required services or to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations.
- Attend all in-house training and clinical supervisions • Maintain all paperwork for counselee in Client’s location • Work at least two evenings per week .
- Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and emotional disorders.
- Knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, of mental dysfunctions.
- Knowledge of group behavior and dynamics, societal trends and influences, human movements, ethnicity, cultures, and their historical origins.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Abide by professional code of ethics and client confidentiality
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate Education and Licensure:
- Master’s degree in Christian counseling, psychology, social work, clinical mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related mental health field
- Hold license to perform in state; National Board of Social Work, Association of Marital and Family Therapy Regulatory Boards
- Obtain and maintain personal liability insurance
