Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team. This role is essential in providing support to children and individuals with developmental disabilities through the implementation of behavior intervention plans. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and a strong understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by fostering positive behaviors and supporting their developmental needs.
Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Collect and record data on client progress, ensuring accuracy and adherence to HIPAA regulations.
- Provide direct support to clients in various settings, including home, school, and community environments.
- Assist in conducting diagnostic evaluations to determine client needs and appropriate interventions.
- Maintain medical documentation as required, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with medical terminology standards.
- Collaborate with families and other professionals to promote effective communication and support strategies.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that encourage skill development and social interaction.
- Monitor client behavior and provide feedback to the supervising BCBA for ongoing program adjustments.
Requirements
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques and principles.
- Strong skills in data collection and analysis related to client behaviors.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with medical documentation processes.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
- A compassionate approach to patient care that prioritizes the well-being of clients.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
