Job Summary

This Faculty member teaches Psychology courses.

Courses may be taught in an array of teaching modalities: MDC In-Person, MDC Live (Learning Interactively in a Virtual Environment), MDC Online (online delivery) and Blended Classes.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Teaches lecture and laboratory sections
  • Evaluates and advises students
  • Participates in departmental and College affairs
  • Develops curricula
  • Recruits students
  • Serves on committees
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Counseling and/or Psychology from a regionally accredited institution, or a Master's Degree from a regionally accredited institution with 18 graduate credits hours in field
  • Possess excellent communication skills (Verbal and Written)
  • Must be able to work well with students, faculty, staff and the community
  • Must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with students of widely ranging skills
  • Must be able to work in a multi-ethnic/multi-cultural environment
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments
