Pediatric Psychology fellows have opportunities to provide patient care across our outpatient clinics and 9-story pediatric medical hospital. Time is devoted to the departments of Gastroenterology, Neurology, Pulmonology, Nephrology, and Rheumatology and fellows develop a strong working relationship within these interdisciplinary teams. Fellows carry a caseload of patients in each clinic while also providing inpatient services for the respective departments. Clinical work includes providing individual therapy and family sessions to support coping with chronic health conditions, coping with new medical diagnoses, psychological factors impacting medical treatment, adherence, coping with hospitalization, and other. Interest in program development, strong clinical skills, and relevant training experiences in a medical setting are desired. A qualitative project will be chosen by the fellow at the start of the year and carried throughout.Projected start date is September 2024.
