PRIMARY JOB DUTIES

The BCBA will report directly to the Clinical Director.

At Social Collaborative, the BCBA plays a critical role in the development and delivery of ABA programs that meet the unique needs of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other behavioral and developmental challenges. The BCBA is responsible for conducting behavioral assessments, creating evidence-based treatment plans, supervising staff, and providing ongoing support to clients and families. Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Assessment & Treatment Design: Conduct comprehensive functional assessments, including descriptive and systematic behavioral assessments, and design individualized treatment plans that align with best practices and evidence-based ABA interventions.
  • Clinical Supervision & Training: Supervise, mentor, and evaluate behavior technicians to ensure they implement treatment plans effectively. Provide feedback and ongoing training to improve clinical skills and maintain high standards of care to all clients.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with families, instructional teams, and other professionals to ensure coordinated care and successful treatment outcomes. Share knowledge and consult on behavioral interventions, teaching strategies, and data collection.
  • Progress Monitoring: Regularly review data on client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure that goals are being met. Prepare progress reports and communicate regularly with families about their child’s development.
  • Quality Assurance & Best Practices: Facilitating quarterly quality audits to evaluate clinical practices and identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with the Clinical Director to maintain documentation standards and adhere to best practices.
  • Professional Development: Contribute to the growth of the team by providing continuing education opportunities, and ensuring adherence to the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) Ethics Code and HIPAA regulations.
  • Health & Safety Standards: Collaborate with the Administrative Team to ensure that health and safety standards are met across all treatment settings, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for both clients and staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education : Master's Degree in Special Education, Psychology, or a related field.

Experience :

  • At least 1 year of experience working with children and/or adults (ages 0-22) in a clinical, classroom, or one-on-one setting.
  • Experience implementing ABA principles and interventions.
  • Experience in NDBI, PRT, or VB approaches preferred.
  • Experience and training in FBA and VB-MAPP preferred.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.
  • Must have personal means of transportation with a reliable vehicle.

WORK MODALITY: This position is in-person and requires traveling throughout Orange County. As a BCBA, you will directly supervise behavior technicians in their sessions with children and their families in various settings, such as homes, schools, and community environments. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are essential.

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

We are seeking candidates for a full-time position. Expected hours of work is 40 hours per week, with variability each week based on your schedule and the needs of the families we serve.
