Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various therapeutic techniques and a commitment to providing high-quality mental health care. This role involves working with clients of diverse backgrounds and needs, utilizing evidence-based practices to promote emotional well-being and personal growth.
This position is ideal for someone who wants to be in a private practice setting but does not want the hassle of marketing, paying for office space, generating referrals, dealing with insurance, or dealing with the finances of running a practice. We are an insurance based and fee for service practice.
I’m looking for committed clinicians to grow with my practice and be a part of a collaborative team.
Duties
- Conduct individual and potential for group counseling sessions to address clients' mental health needs.
- Utilize holistic and evidence based therapeutic techniques to assist clients in managing their thoughts and behaviors.
- implement somatic therapy as a creative therapeutic approach for clients interested in movement-based healing.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and session notes while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Engage in research to stay updated on best practices and emerging trends in therapy.
- Ensure coding for services rendered is completed accurately for compliance with healthcare regulations.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Trained in at least 1 of the following trauma/somatic modalities: EMDR, SE, IFS.
- Interested in working from a holistic lens when treating mental health issues.
- Experience working with children and adolescents a plus.
- Must be able to function independently, be punctual with returning phone calls, notes, session times, etc.
- Minimum commitment of growing to at least 10 client hours. No max.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Valid licensure as a therapist or counselor in California
- Proficiency in individual and group counseling techniques.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and coding practices related to mental health services.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
- Experience or training in health psychology is preferred.
- Background or interest in somatic therapy and/or mindfulness.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for documentation purposes.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $80.24 - $86.60 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
