Summary:
Performs a variety of duties pertaining to the psychological testing of Hospital patients, scoring of tests, and recording test results. Trains and supervises staff in administration of appropriate tests. Provides services to children and adolescents.
Responsibilities:
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Schedules, administers, and scores psychological and neuropsychological tests for Hospital patients.
Submits test data to supervisor for interpretation. Codes and stores data for future retrieval and use.
Reviews patient Hospital records. Complies and submits data and relevant behavioral observations of the patient to the supervisor.
Complies and performs statistical computation and analysis of data. Performs a variety of related duties to assist Program personnel on research projects.
Maintains accurate inventory and records of psychological equipment and supplies to ensure efficient operation.
Designs appropriate forms to facilitate scoring of psychological and neuropsychological tests.
Trains staff in administration of psychological and neuropsychological tests.
Coordinates and directs work of other Psychological Assistants, when assigned.
Performs other related duties as required, assigned, or directed.
Observes all Hospital policies, rules, and regulations.

BASIC KNOWLEDGE:
Baccalaureate degree in Psychology or related field.
Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients throughout the life span with consideration of aging processes, human development stages and cultural patterns in each step of the care process.
EXPERIENCE:
Two years of direct child care
work with emotionally impaired youth or in a related field is required. Familiarity
with statistics and computer data entry preferred.
