Cortica is looking for a part time Music Therapist to join its growing multi-disciplinary team at our Torrance center in CA!

Establish music therapy treatment goals following assessment process (parent interview, assessment review, and dynamic evaluation)

Consult closely with multi-disciplinary team members to create collaborative treatment plans and integrative strategies

Provide individual therapy sessions as well as group and/or co-treats with other disciplines as therapeutically appropriate

Maintain patient records, documentation, and appropriate billing in accordance with federal and state regulations and company policy to ensure excellent standard of care

Design musical interventions to promote nonmusical treatment goals in sensorimotor, communicative, cognitive skills, and social-emotional domains while considering an individual’s sensory processing and regulation

Educate patients, families, team members, and caregivers on home programs that complement treatment

We’d Love To Hear From You If

You possess board certification through CBMT, resulting in the credential “Music Therapist-Board Certified” (MT-BC).

You possess a Bachelor’s degree and some experience working as an MT-BC directly with children.

You are proficient musical ability on guitar, piano, and voice.

You have excellent clinical skills.

You have knowledge of HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient information (preferred).
