Summary:
The Behavioral Health Care Manager is a pivotal role at PerformCare, overseeing the clinical department's daily operations. This includes managing calls, coordinating care, and conducting utilization management. You will facilitate access to essential behavioral health services, ensuring children receive timely and appropriate care as part of their integrated service plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Make timely determinations regarding the intensity of services required.
- Provide essential linkages to community resources and services.
- Maintain adherence to customer service agreements and productivity standards.
- Document services according to established protocols.
- Identify a variety of community resources for callers.
- Exhibit respectful communication and uphold excellent customer service standards.
- Follow recognized ethical guidelines.
- Assist with various assigned projects.
Education and Experience:
- Graduate degree from an accredited program in Social Work, Clinical/Counseling Psychology.
- Active clinical licensure in New Jersey as an LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or Licensed Psychologist.
- A minimum of two years of experience in children’s mental health or relevant public sector services.
- Background in family systems, community resources, case management, and child development.
- Cultural competence and experience managing complex cases within child-serving systems.
- Ability to assess crisis situations and determine appropriate services based on recognized criteria.
- Proficiency in computer usage and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Demonstrated knowledge of various intervention approaches.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
Additional Information:
This is a remote position open to candidates in DE, NJ, NY, and PA, with working hours from Monday through Friday, 11:00 am to 7:30 pm. Holiday and weekend rotations will be required.
