- Performing psychiatric screenings, evaluations, and examinations.
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and procedures, diagnosing, and treating various psychiatric conditions.
- Administering psychiatric treatments, medications, and therapies. Conducting follow-up exams and modifying treatments as needed.
- Collaborating with other licensed physicians and healthcare providers on diagnoses and treatment plans, and approves treatment recommendations.
- Competency restoration.
- Correctional mental health services.
- License and current registration to practice medicine in New York State; and
- Certification in psychiatry approved by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN); and
- Certification in forensic psychiatry approved be the ABPN.
