Avalon Wellness Living is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) to provide clinical oversight, support individualized care, and contribute to the behavioral health documentation and billing process within our residential program.
This is a key clinical role supporting residents as they stabilize and grow in a wellness-focused environment. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of Oregon documentation standards, trauma-informed care, and the behavioral health billing process.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct mental health assessments, treatment plans, and service notes in compliance with OARs and payer requirements
Provide individual and group therapeutic interventions using trauma-informed practices
Guide direct care and QMHA staff with clinical insight, de-escalation, and intervention planning
Maintain detailed, timely, and billable documentation that aligns with Medicaid and commercial insurance billing standards
Coordinate with external providers, case managers, and family members when appropriate
Participate in audits, quality improvement, and staff development
Ensure services are aligned with person-centered care plans and regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
Must meet Oregon’s QMHP qualifications, including:
Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related behavioral science field
Minimum of 1 year experience in mental health treatment
MHACBO registration preferred or ability to obtain upon hire
Familiarity with Medicaid billing standards and clinical documentation requirements
Strong written communication and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Must pass background check and meet all hiring requirements
