About Job
The Behavioral Health Peer Support Specialist has lived experience with a mental health or substance use disorder and is able to use that experience to help others. The Behavioral Health Peer Support Specialist must demonstrate evidence of stable recovery and work as part of a treatment team to deliver services. The Behavioral Health Peer Support Specialist will assist with symptom management, provide crisis support, assist in developing coping skills, and respond effectively in a wide variety of human service situations.
Qualifications
1. Must be in Sustained Recovery from a diagnosed Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder
2. Must be at least 21 years old
3. Must have a valid driver’s license
4. Must have a high school diploma or GED
5. Must be familiar with community resources
