What You’ll Do
- Implement Behavior Plans: Follow individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) developed by the supervising BCBA.
- Behavioral Support Strategies: Utilize behavior-analytic strategies such as Discrete Trial Training (DTT), Naturalistic Teaching, and Reinforcement Techniques to support clients.
- Data Collection & Documentation: Accurately track client progress and submit session notes in compliance with UTC policies.
- Client Engagement: Provide positive reinforcement and professional communication to encourage skill development and behavior improvement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with BCBAs, therapists, and caregivers to ensure consistency in intervention across all settings.
- Challenging Behaviors: Manage and address challenging behaviors according to individualized behavior plans and training.
- Confidentiality & Professionalism: Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain the highest standards of professional and ethical conduct.
- Ongoing Training: Participate in required training and continuing education opportunities to improve skills and knowledge.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification (Preferred, but not required)
- Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities (Preferred)
- Ability to pass a background check and TB test (Required)
- Reliable transportation to client locations (Required)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Bilingual, Spanish speaking (Preferred).
- Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds, sit, and run as needed.
