We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced high school psychology teacher to join our dynamic faculty team. The ideal candidate should have a rich background in Psychology and AP Psychology. The candidate should demonstrate a commitment to fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment while promoting critical thinking, analytical skills, and effective communication among students.
Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging instruction: Plan, prepare, and teach psychology lessons that align with curriculum standards and course objectives, fostering critical thinking and meaningful exploration of psychological concepts.
- Create an inclusive classroom environment: Cultivate a supportive learning space that encourages active student participation, collaboration, and respect for diverse perspectives and backgrounds.
- Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners: Adapt teaching strategies and materials to meet the varied learning needs of students, including those with special needs and English language learners.
- Assess and promote student growth: Utilize a range of formative and summative assessments to evaluate student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback to support academic success.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or a closely related field is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Holds a valid secondary-level teaching credential in Psychology or an equivalent certification.
- A minimum of two years of recent high school teaching experience, with a strong track record of success in delivering psychology instruction.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, faculty, families, and educational partners.
- Proficient in implementing diverse instructional strategies, assessment methods, and digital tools to enhance classroom engagement and learning outcomes.
- Dedicated to promoting equity and inclusion, with a demonstrated ability to foster a welcoming, supportive environment for learners from all backgrounds.
Salary: Starting at $40/hourly. Depending on experience.
