Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselors to join our team. Candidates must possess an active license in the state of Virginia. *Must be willing to have a background check.*
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health care, providing therapeutic support to individuals utilizing CBT. This role involves working with diverse populations experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, unresolved trauma, relationship challenges, grief, and life transitions. The counselor will be responsible for providing telehealth sessions, intake, diagnosis, developing treatment plans, conducting assessments, therapy notes, and updating administrative logs.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
- Provide virtual individual sessions to clients, utilizing evidence-based practices.
- Offer specialized care for clients dealing with trauma, PTSD, and grief.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Engage in data collection and research to enhance therapeutic practices and outcomes.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Utilize applied behavior analysis techniques as appropriate for client treatment.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in counseling.
Qualifications
- A valid license as a Professional Counselor (LPC)
- Must be insurance paneled/credentialed with major insurance companies: Aetna, Anthem, CareFirst, OR must obtain paneling and credentialing within 90 days of start of employment.
- Liability insurance
- Experience with virtual telehealth counseling is preferred.
- Knowledge of DSM5 and diagnosis coding for telehealth platforms.
- Ability to conduct effective data collection for treatment evaluation purposes.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Highly proficient in utilizing CBT.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in all interactions.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including some nights and weekends.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $50.00 - $70.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 35 per week
