The Learning Institute for Functional Education (L.I.F.E.) is hiring for entry level Behavior Technician positions. Experience is preferred but not necessary for entry level positions. Qualified candidates may possess experience working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), a bachelors or master's degree, or a certification (i.e., RBT, BCAT, etc.). L.I.F.E. utilizes principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to increase Functional skills and decrease maladaptive behaviors in children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Staff work 1:1 with clients on individualized goals in the home and community settings.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Our behavior technicians must be fun, energetic, and creative! A qualified candidate will:
- Work 1:1 in client home and community settings.
- Build and maintain a good rapport with children and families.
- Create positive social interactions with clients while reinforcing desirable behaviors.
- Implement an individualized behavioral therapy program.
- Follow set protocol and implement the program/activities developed by the Advanced Behavior Technicians and/or Clinical Supervisors and BCBAs.
- Take accurate data on each activity.
- Participate in team meetings and staff trainings.
- Maintain HIPAA compliance at all times, across all settings.
- Must be willing to travel between client homes.
Hours and Availability:
- Part-Time positions and Full-Time positions available!
- Operating hours are from Monday through Friday, 8:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. Exact session times and hours will vary based on your availability and client needs
- Work in the San Joaquin and/or Stanislaus Counties
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Must have a minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent OR a BA/BS degree in a related field.
- Experience working with or exposure to children and/or adults with disabilities is preferred.
- Must provide a negative TB test and pass a criminal background clearance upon hire.
- Must be open to a flexible schedule as case placement may vary or change.
- Must have reliable transportation, a valid Driver's License, and active car insurance in order to travel to clients’ homes.
- Must be able to perform essential work duties such as lifting, squatting, and sitting on the floor for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to sit on the floor or stand for extended periods of time.
