Job Summary
Now hiring Licensed Mental Health Counselors for our medium sized private practice located in East Orlando, Florida. We offer competitive pay, flexible hours, professional office space and work environment, cloud-based electronic medical health records platform, and administrative services. We are contracted with most major medical / mental health insurance companies and handle all claims submissions and collections from insurance payers. The position is for independent contractor (1099) individuals and allows you to work other jobs if desired.
The ideal candidate will be dedicated, compassionate, prioritize client care and play a crucial role in providing support to individuals dealing with various mental health challenges. This position involves working closely with patients to promote and assist in their long-term well-being. This person will collaborate with other healthcare professionals on the team to deliver effective patient care, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment.
Responsibilities
- Implementation of treatment plans to facilitate your clients' recovery
- Monitor patient behavior and document any significant changes
- Provide support during therapy sessions
- Utilize your education and professional training to engage patients in therapeutic activities that promote emotional and psychological well-being.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and progress notes in our electronic medical records platform.
- Support patients with emotional or developmental disabilities by providing tailored care and assistance.
- Ensure a safe environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
- Participate in occasional meetings with the practice owner and contribute to the development of care strategies.
Must Have These Minimum Qualifications
- hold a mental health counselor's license issued by the State of Florida (LMHC); registered mental health interns will not be considered
- A Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology or a similar field and experience in behavioral health, social work, or related fields
- Willingness to consistently see at least 15 clients per week
- Unconstrained by any existing contract with Non-Compete or Non-Solicitation provisions
- Ability to start work immediately
- willingness and skill set required to work with children
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, parents and other counselors
- Experienced and knowledgeable of mental health counseling techniques and practices
- Compassionate approach towards individuals facing mental health challenges
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and ethical standards in all interactions
- willingness to become credentialled with insurance payors and cooperate with our administrative team to complete this process without delay
