- Provide psychiatric evaluations and treatment for adult inpatients
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
- Conduct daily rounds and monitor patient progress
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care
- Participate in treatment team meetings and care conferences
- Provide crisis intervention and management as needed
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Sunrise Clinical Manager EMR
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety protocols
- Provide consultation to other healthcare providers as needed
- Stay current with best practices and evidence-based treatments in psychiatry
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Manage admissions, transfers, and discharges as appropriate
- New York medical license required
- Board certification in Psychiatry required
- Experience in inpatient adult psychiatry essential
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Comfortable working in an inpatient unit
- Potential for assignment extension
