Thrive Therapy of Kansas is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Intake Coordinator to support the onboarding of new clients and ensure smooth transitions into our rehabilitation therapy services. This role is crucial in serving individuals on the Kansas Medicaid Brain Injury Waiver. The Intake Coordinator will be the first point of contact for new referrals and will coordinate initial assessments, eligibility verification, documentation, and communication between clients, families, case managers, and clinical staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process new client referrals from Managed Care Organizations (MCOs), case managers, hospitals, and families
- Verify Medicaid Brain Injury Waiver eligibility and authorization for therapy services
- Schedule and coordinate initial evaluations with therapy staff
- Collect, organize, and maintain accurate client documentation and intake records
- Serve as a liaison between families, caregivers, case managers, and Thrive Therapy staff to ensure timely communication and support
- Track referral status, follow up on incomplete intakes, and report regularly to administrative leadership
- Support therapists with client assignment logistics and information handoff
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of intake workflows and client onboarding experience
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field preferred
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare, case management, or therapy services environment
- Knowledge of Kansas Medicaid and/or the Brain Injury Waiver program strongly preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, electronic documentation systems, and HIPAA-compliant tools
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively

$23-$27/hour, Full-Time with benefits
