Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and driven School Social Worker to join a thriving educational community in Chicago, IL. This role is essential to fostering a positive school environment by addressing the social and emotional needs of students, collaborating with staff and families, and implementing programs that promote mental health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide counseling services to students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop intervention plans and strategies.
• Conduct individual and group sessions focused on personal development, conflict resolution, and coping mechanisms.
• Facilitate communication between the school and external support agencies.
• Assist in the development and implementation of school-wide programs to enhance mental health awareness and support.
• Advocate for students and families to access additional resources and services.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field.
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Worker Endorsement.
• Previous experience in school or youth-related settings preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse populations.
