BAVOY Mental Health Counseling, PLLC is a thriving private practice committed to providing compassionate, personalized, and effective mental health care to our diverse community. We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges through evidence-based therapy. While a strong foundational skill set is required, we also welcome candidates with additional experience in specialized modalities.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine clients' mental health needs.

- Provide individual and group therapy sessions.

- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans.

- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care.

- Participate in ongoing professional development and training.

- Adhere to ethical guidelines and state regulations.

- Support clients through evidence-based approaches while adapting to their unique needs.

Qualifications

- Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.

- Active LMHC license in the state of New York.

- Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

- Commitment to client confidentiality and ethical practice.

Preferred Additional Experiences (Not Mandatory)

- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

- Trauma-focused therapy

- Experience working with first responders

- Experience working with couples / Gottman Method
